John Nguyen

John is a Partner of the firm and heads up our North American Commodity practice, focussing on Oil, Natural Gas, and Power. John has over 25 years experience in the energy trading space, and has worked at some of the top banks and trading houses globally. ​

He started his career at Dynegy, followed by Chevron where he headed the financial natural gas trading desk, overseeing fixed price, option and basic risk. Then spent 7 years at Deutsche running natural gas volatility, finishing with a further three years of oil option volatility trading at Suncor Energy.​

John has a bachelor's in business administration with a major in Accounting, from the University of Houston. ​
